Robert J. Vincze, SteepSteel’s Corporate Counsel, is a team leader who has served as de facto General Counsel to real estate developers, helping to identify and evaluate new business opportunities. He has extensive experience conducting real estate and environmental due diligence and deal execution.

Among other types of assistance, Robert has created innovative approaches to “LARGE” project development utilizing litigation, administrative law (practice before governmental agencies), real estate law, governmental affairs and environmental law as necessary to achieve results.

Robert has handled real estate, land development and environmental issues in many complex projects including corporate acquisitions and divestitures involving fertilizer and chemical manufacturing, mining, renewable energy, energy, oil and gas, wind, other industrial, commercial, brownfields, clean up actions, agricultural land and projects with a federal nexus. He has been directly responsible for well over 350 multi-million dollar corporate and real estate transactions.

Robert also has provided counsel on banking matters and loan transactions. Prior to law school he worked for Mellon Bank at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he received credit training and was responsible for commercial loan development. He also has served as Senior Counsel to Commerce Bancshares, Inc. at Kansas City, Missouri where he worked with commercial and real estate loan officers and senior management.
